Alice Morgan is an accomplished Sydney /Eora- based saxophonist and clarinettist who enjoys a varied career of performative mediums within classical, jazz and contemporary genres.

Alice has performed as Guest Principal Saxophone with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and will perform in several concerts across their 2025 season, including as orchestral soloist for Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

In 2024 Alice was Ensemble Offspring’s Hatched Associate Artist where she performed in several concerts across their season. Specially commissioned for the program, she premiered and recorded Holly Harrison’s Swivel and Swerve with Hospital Hill at the Church in Alexandria.

Alice is an Associate Artist of the Bowerbird Collective, and performed the world premiere of Andrew Howes’ The Eyes of the Earth for soprano saxophone and string quartet at the Lyrebird Festival in Megalong Valley. Alice is also an Associate Artist of the award-winning organisation Moorambilla Voices.

Alice has been a past nominee for the Freedman Fellowship Classical Awards. She has performed as concerto soloist with Ensemble Apex for Ibert’s Concertino da Camera, as well as performing with the orchestra for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with Simon Tedeschi and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Through her university years Alice performed with the Australian Youth Orchestra and regularly with Sydney Youth Orchestras as orchestral soloist. 

Alice also enjoys working as a producer and orchestral manager. Alice is a board member of Ensemble Apex and has produced and managed many of their orchestral programs since their conception in 2016. She is also employed as an Administration Officer and Casual Lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has hosted several masterclasses at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
